Bajaj Finserv Health (Intern)

Worked as a Backend Technology Intern in the DevOps Utilities team, contributing to enterprise backend engineering, security, and platform reliability initiatives. My primary work focused on preparing the organization for India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act by researching and implementing dynamic data masking solutions for both MySQL and PostgreSQL, enabling role-based access to sensitive customer information without requiring application-level changes.

Alongside compliance initiatives, I developed backend services and APIs using NestJS and PostgreSQL, participated in evaluating and integrating security tooling into CI/CD workflows, and worked on improving engineering productivity across internal platforms. During a security assessment of an internal application, I identified and responsibly reported a critical OAuth authorization bypass that could allow privilege escalation through improper authorization validation.

This internship provided hands-on experience in backend engineering, database systems, secure software development, DevSecOps practices, and designing enterprise solutions that balanced security, performance, and maintainability.
